Deepesh Desai, Managing Consultant and Ergonomics Engineer for Humantech, manages and implements complex, large-scale ergonomics programs in a variety of industries including aerospace, pharmaceutical, consumer products, petroleum, food and beverage, steel, and heavy-vehicle manufacturing.
Deepesh has helped companies achieve best-in-class results by implementing workplace improvements and training programs that increase productivity, enhance product quality, and reduce injuries and illnesses. His recent client engagements include ARAMARK, Amazon Inc., Baxter Healthcare, Ceradyne, Inc., John Deere, Snap-on Tools, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, United Airlines, and Volvo Construction Equipment.
Prior to joining Humantech, Deepesh completed an internship as a Consultant Ergonomist for Briggs & Stratton Corporation, where he developed a methodology for generating job-rotation schedules. He has also worked as a consultant for organizations across diverse industries, performing ergonomic assessments, making recommendations for and implementing ergonomic improvements, and designing analysis tools.
Deepesh received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune in Maharashtra, India, and a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, focusing on Occupational Ergonomics and Safety, from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. He also received a Master of Education degree focusing on Occupational Ergonomics and Biomechanics from Auburn University. Deepesh has achieved recognition as a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE).
